Welcome

Morag Walks invites you to spend a week with other travelers in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. I enjoy these trips and the opportunity to show you a part of England you might not otherwise visit.

Single people, couples and groups of friends from Canada, Britain and the US have joined me for a Morag Walk. I will meet you in Hebden Bridge for this 7 day adventure which includes:

•A combination of day trips to historical and beautiful locations and walks in the surrounding country side. We will be joined by local guides and historians.
•This is the landscape that helped shaped the work of Poet Laureate Ted Hughes; we will visit the places of his childhood.
•Hebden Bridge is a small village with traditional village shops; it has quick access by train or road to other parts of the country.
•We will wander through Hardcastle Crags, now owned by the National Trust.
•We will take a canal boat trip.
•We will visit Haworth home of the Bronte sisters and walk to Wuthering Heights.
•A highlight is our train trip to York to visit, amongst other attractions, the Minster.
•We will explore, by train, bus and foot a part of England and meet some of its people.
